總統府祕書長陳菊日前受訪時表示，「新北市機車汙染量比深澳電廠大」，引起軒然大波，陳菊今（17）日說明，深澳電廠必須要理性討論，她完全沒有惡意。

被問及新北市長選舉，陳菊表示，蘇貞昌投入的新北市選戰，是民進黨選舉的重中之重，民進黨全黨都應該努力為蘇助選，所以每個人的職務不是那麼重要，所有參與選戰的人，都是非常重要的助選員，「所有人都是主任委員」。

針對前總統府副祕書長羅智強赴北檢提告一事，陳菊說，她沒有貪汙的事實，所以不願浪費司法資源「反誣告」，並反指羅智強這幾天正在進行初選，「我想這部分，任何為了選舉所做的動作，我都視為選舉造勢」，沒有評論和意見。

至於日前指新北機車汙染量比深澳電廠大嚴重一事，陳菊說，深澳發電廠的問題，我們必須用更理性、科學的證據，來看台灣未來在電力轉型的過程中，深澳火力發電廠是不是必須、應該怎麼處理，大家都可以一起理性討論，至於先前提到機車，是因為高雄機車有兩百多萬輛，高雄也是一個勞工的城市，在大眾運輸不普及的情況下，不得不坐機車上班，希望高雄的摩托車，在政策上和環保署合作，全部轉為電動摩托車。

陳菊說，高雄現在的大眾運輸，捷運只有紅橘兩條，以及一條輕軌，現在正努力蓋第三條黃線捷運，卻遭受批評說，「高雄不需要這麼多大眾運輸」，高雄在大眾運輸的發展上，比較慢又比別人少，為了讓所有勞工朋友不需要坐摩托車，就必須要有非常便捷的大眾運輸，高雄這階段還在努力中，她當時的說明，是因為現在的流動汙染源，其實占 PM2.5 很大的比例，強調深澳火力發電廠，必須客觀理性討論，當時完全沒有惡意。
